Music isn’t just background. It’s the heartbeat of every moment. I’m DJ Jay Gets Busy, a curator of sound and energy who transforms events into unforgettable experiences. With years of expertise behind the turntables and a roster of high-profile clients, I bring professionalism, precision, and passion to every performance.

Professionally known as Jamil Crews, Jay is a DJ veteran, with over 20 years experience in the industry. Jay began his career while as a student at the University at Buffalo with two college friends and they would go on to form the DJ super-group, MyTunez. During their run, they would become the most sought after DJ’s on the college scene. The group would open for notable names like Nas, Ludacris and Sean Paul, just to name a few.

Jay would eventually venture out to become a solo act and began to service more private and corporate events. Some of his past clients include Victoria’s Secret, LA Fitness, DJ’s for Obama and more. He is also the co-founder of the event Love Peace & Afrobeats, alongside his partner and fraternity brother, DJ Tru Journey.

Jay’s professionalism, music versatility and commitment to keep his clients entertained is unmatched. Whether it’s a corporate event, wedding, birthday party or political fundraiser, Jay is the solution to all of your deejay needs.
